Finance — Reference architecture · designed by Techmode
SACCO Member & Loan Dashboard
A SACCO member self-service portal: savings and loan balances, online applications, M-Pesa repayments, and a committee workflow with an audit trail.
A reference architecture, not a client story. This describes a system we design and build — the problem it answers, how it is put together, and what it runs on. No client engagement stands behind this page, and we will not imply one.
It is a write-up, not something you can click. If you would rather use something than read about it, the sacco loan workflow demo runs the same pattern in your browser.

The problem
Where it goes wrong
Members queue at the office or ring staff to ask a balance, loan applications move as paper through a tray, and the credit committee works from printed spreadsheets. Nobody — member or officer — can say where an application has got to without finding the person holding it.
The solution
What we build
A member portal showing live savings and loan balances, online loan applications scored against the SACCO's own policy rules, M-Pesa repayment through Daraja, and a committee dashboard where approvals move through a tracked workflow that writes its audit trail as it goes.
The stack
What it runs on.
What changes
What the build delivers.
Members check balances and apply from the phone they already use for M-Pesa
Straightforward applications scored on arrival and escalated with reasons, not opinions
Every decision carrying the rule and the figures it was made on
Design targets
What we build to.
Engineering targets for this build, not results measured for anyone. We have not shipped this for a client, so there is nothing to report.
An audit trail written as the work happens, not reconstructed at year end
Repayments reconciled against the member record on the M-Pesa callback
